This fall, UnitedHealthcare teamed up with GENYOUth to present social entrepreneurship opportunities for local high school students through GENYOUth’s social entrepreneurship program, AdVenture Capital. We were thrilled to visit Salt Lake City for the very first time, and Pittsburgh for the second time, to meet over 100 brave, curious and bold entrepreneurs!

Between the two events in Pittsburgh and Salt Lake City, over 100 local students ages 13-17 were invited to design projects to make their schools a healthier place, collaborate with volunteer mentors and compete in a head-to-head pitch competition, “shark tank style.”

At the end of each day, winners were selected to win $1,000 from UnitedHealthcare to bring their idea to life.
