Here’s a recap of some of the amazing things that happened this school year!
Throughout Spring 2021, students had the opportunity to submit Project Designs for 6 different online funding opportunities.
Of the many Project Designs submitted, 13 projects were awarded $1,000 grants.
The results are in! Out of all the entries submitted, twenty five student teams took home one thousand dollar grants. Out of those, six teams were selected as this year’s finalists, winning an additional opportunity to engage with their Challenge Question partner company this fall.
The 2020 AdCap Challenge presented in partnership with Corteva Agriscience, Domino’s and Land O’Lakes took an unexpected turn for everyone involved when COVID-19 shut down in person school and extracurricular activities. That said, student and their teacher remained eager and passionate about participating in this year's Challenge.
On October 30, 96 students from around Missouri came together for an innovation day to tackle challenges around increasing access to or participation in USDA meal programs. Teams worked with mentors including representatives from No Kid Hungry Missouri and Midwest Dairy to develop solutions through rapid prototyping and design thinking exercises. They pitched their ideas to a panel of judges at the end of the day - with the chance to walk away with a $1,000 grant to bring their big idea to life.
Check out this photo gallery of the winners, who each received $1000 from No Kid Hungry MO to bring their big ideas to life this school year!
This fall, United Healthcare teamed up with GENYOUth to present social entrepreneurship opportunities for local high school students. We were thrilled to visit Salt Lake City for the very first time, and Pittsburgh for the second time, to meet over 100 brave, curious and bold entrepreneurs!
AdVenture Capital was thrilled to join HYPE this week at their annual High School Youth Leadership Summit, presented by the Food Trust. It was our pleasure to spend some time with so many brave curious and bold young leaders who want to make their schools a healthier place!

Nearly 100 students from the Chicago area came together this September with volunteers from DMI, Inc, to explore, learn about, and ultimately design solutions to food insecurity, food waste, or sustainable nutrition challenges. At the end of the day, students pitched their ideas to a panel of judges for the chance to win funding and support. Thirteen groups walked away with $1000 each to bring their big ideas to life this year.
